Cross / MTB ride

10:30 at the park - Brandon Park Saturday the 21st.
Where:
North on the bike path / Lycoming Creek Road to 973 west past Quigglesville about 2 miles to a paved road bearing to the right. It is paved for the first mile then dirt. There is a nursery on the left on 973. This road climbs 6 miles to the top of the Appalachian plateau then about 10+ miles total to the village of Cogan House which is West of the Turkey Farm on 184 at the top of Steam Valley Mountain. I do not know of a bike friendly route other than returning the same way. Bring hydration and energy food for a 3+hour ride.
I have not done this ride, some club members have driven it.

Join those guys from Hughesville on a ride to Eagles Mere.
Who; Joe, Terry, Brian, Chuck, Mark, and you.
What; Road bike, bring your single speed so Mark and Brian are not so lonely.
When; 7:30am
Where; Hughesville High School parking lot, on Cemetery St in Hughesville
Why; you're not working.....and hopefully someone else is cooking.
How long? about 2.5hr

Well, it wasn't exactly a stellar turnout but we had a good ride.
Conditions were good, slight wind from various directions but warm and no rain or storms like the last TT.
